Tricycle

Orthopaedically Disabled Persons lost their muscle power on both lower limb and have power in both upper limb is provided with the Tricycle.

Annual income limit – 30,000/-

2.

Wheel Chair

Wheel chairs are Distributed to the Paraplegic person having little power in both upper limb.

3.

Caliper

Polio affected persons, Children affected by the cerebral palsy as assessed by the medical specialist.

Persons assessed in medical camp and registered in DRC.

Annual income limit – Rs.30,000/-

Crutches 

Crutches are distributed to the orthopaedically disabled as per need.

Artificial limbs

Artificial limbs are provided to the amputed persons.

Annual income limit – Rs.30,000/-

6.

Hearing Aid

Three Types of Hearing Aids are given to Hearing Impaired persons on the basis of the Audiogram assessment, attested by the Govt ENT surgeon.

Annual income limit – Rs.30,000/- 

Age – 3 to 75 Years

Rs.850/-

 

7.

Solar-Rechargeable batteries

Solar Rechargeable batteries are given along with Hearing Aid.

Annual income limit – Rs.30,000/- 

Age – 3 to 75 Years

Rs.150/-

 

8.

Goggle & Folding Sticks 

Goggles and Folding sticks are given to visually impaired persons.

 

Annual income limit – Rs.30,000/- 

Rs.100/-

 

9.

Braille Watches

Braille Watches are given to visually impaired person those who are working in unorganised sectors and doing self Employment.

 

Annual income limit – Rs.24,000/-

10.

Free Bus Pass

Free Bus Passes are given to the Different type of disabled person

Scholarship

Scholarships are given to the poor Disabled Children studying in Normal, special school and Training centres.

From Std 1 to 5th

Family Annual Income within Rs.24,000/-

12.

Self-employment

To Assist the Disabled to take up self-Employment Venture Bank Loans were arranged with 1/3 subsidy at the maximum of 2,000 to 5,000/-

Age – Above 18 to 45 Years.

Subsidy 2,000 to 5,000/-

 

13.

Concession given Normal person marrying the Blind.

If a normal person marries the blind He/She is eligble for assistance/Concession as detailed below.

a)      Cash payment Rs.3,000/- towards the marriage expenses.

b)      National Savings Certificate for Rs.7,000/-

Totally Blind person

Annual income limit – Rs.12,000/-

 

Age – above 18Years

14.

Concession to Normal person marrying Locomotor Disabled

To encourage marriage between Normal person and locomotor Disabled a cash payment for Rs.2,000/- and National Saving Certificate for Rs.5,000/-

Percentage of Disabilities should be more than 75.

Annual income limit – Rs.12,000/- 

Age – above 18 Years

15.

Concession to Normal person marrying speech and Hearing impaired

The Scheme is towards encouraging marriage between normal person and speech and Hearing impaired.

1)      Cash payment Rs.2,000/-

2)      National saving certificate for Rs.5,000/-

Speech and Hearing impaired person

Annual income limit – Rs.12,000/- 

Age – above 18 Year

 

 

16.

Maintenance Allowance to Severely Disabled persons

To maintain the severely disabled person who can not be rehabilitated otherwise by given education, training, assistance for self-employment, placement etc.,

Monthly for Rs. 150/-

Annual income limit should be within  – Rs.12,000/- 

Percentage for the Disability is more than 75.

17.

Assistance to Disabled Law Graduate to Purchase Law Books those who have registered the bar council.

Rs.3000/- is given as assistance to orthopaedically Disabled person.

Annual income limit – Below 12,000/-

Registered as bar council member.

Rs.3,000/-

 

18.

Concession to family member of spinal cord affected person

Rs.100/- p.m is given as assistance to the family of spiral cord injurd person

Income limit should be within in the 12,000/-

Rs.1,200/- per year

 

19.

Identity card to disabled persons

Any disabled person having 40% of disability certified by the Govt. Medical Officer is issued a permanent identity card.

Identity card would be issued by the DRC on the base of the medical certificate, Proof of Residence along with the pass port size photo should be produced.

20.

Centres run by the District rehabilitation centre.

a)      physiotherapy centres for the disabled

b)      Hearing Aid assessment unit

c)      Ear mould making unit for the Hearing impaired person.

d)      Orthotic appliances making unit.

All the disabled received identity card from the DRC are eligible.

Repaired appliance should be done on free of cost.

Physiotherapy is provided on free of cost.

 

 

21.

Referral services

Disabled persons are referred to various services agencies for different type of assistances on request.

22.

Advices are given for Guardian ship and assistance for multiple disabled person under local level committee or National Trust Act 1999.

Local level committee is headed by the District collector with one disabled and one NGO.
